We believe that trainees supported in placement employment by our professional management and staff, provides a unique opportunity to the employee to gain a foothold on the employment ladder in the most practical way possible.
We rely on the support, co-operation and enthusiasm of the employer to help us to ensure that the trainee, who is starting out at the beginning of his/her working life, updating skills or returning to work, gets the most from their placement with you.
Trainees are expected to comply with the recruitment process of each individual placement company and there is no cost to the host company for the duration of the placement. Training allowances continue to be paid by BCTL to the trainee for the duration of the placement and at the end of the placement, the host company is not under any obligation to the trainee. Nevertheless, trainees are encouraged to regard the placement as an opportunity to impress a potential employer and any arrangement subsequently agreed between the trainee and a host company is entirely a matter for the parties concerned.
